Christi Wisniewski

Biographical sketch:

Christi Wisniewski is a Research Associate in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology at UMass Chan Medical School. She is the Mercurio Lab Manager but has worked in a variety of roles at UMass Chan Medical School since 2014.

Broadly speaking, she is interested in how cells deal with metabolic stress and how cellular pathways are rewired in response to physiological stress conditions. Her current work focuses on understanding mechanisms of ferroptosis induction and resistance in breast cancer.

Outside the lab, she enjoys yoga, rock climbing, and painting. She is currently a student at Quinsigamond Community College and is looking to further her research career in Cancer Biology.
